The mechanism of action of deslorin acetate is very briefly reviewed. All the potential uses of Suprelorin in the female dog are discussed including oestrus prevention prior to and after puberty, sustained oestrous prevention in bitches suffering from comorbidities making them a risk for surgery and its use in other medical conditions. The concept of possible migration of LH disease is introduced. The use of Suprelorin in breeding and non-breeding animals also discussed.
