Warnings:

  • Vaccinate healthy cats only.

  • Do not administer any corticosteroids or antiviral drugs preceding or following vaccination.
  • Feligen CRP/L vaccine can be used together with the Rabigen vaccine from 3 months of age.
  • Interactions between and with other products should not occur as long as normal veterinary practice for the immunisation of cats is followed.
  • Occasional hypersensitivity reactions may be observed in some animals. Immediate treatment for anaphylactic shock (adrenaline, antihistamines and corticosteroids) must be given.
  • In a small proportion of animals, slight watering of the eyes is sometimes noticed during the days following vaccination. It reduces spontaneously within a few days.
  • A transient malaise may be observed after vaccination. In very rare cases this may be accompanied by pyrexia, loss of appetite or vomiting. Clinical signs subside within 24-48 hours.
  • A slight and transitory swelling may occasionally be observed at the point of injection.
  • Keep out of reach of children and uninformed persons.
  • Although this vaccine has been extensively tested under a wide variety of conditions, failure thereof may ensue as a result of a wide range of reasons. If this is suspected, seek veterinary advice and notify the registration holder.

Precautions:

  • It is recommended that animals be treated for external and internal parasites at least 10 days prior to vaccination.
  • The vaccine should be administered in accordance with standard aseptic conditions for vaccination.
  • It is recommended that cats be checked for the presence of p27 circulating FeLV antigen, using the ELISA test, prior to vaccination as infection could render the vaccination ineffective.
  • Avoid exposure of the animal to infection for 21 days following vaccination.
  • Use the vaccine immediately after reconstitution.
  • Used needles, syringes and vials should be disposed of in a safe manner.
