KEY BENEFITS & CHARACTERISTICS

Improves Coat condition
High linoleic acid (LA) content helps reduce scales production and regulate sebaceous secretion for a shiny coat (efficacy proven by Virbac)(1)

High Protein & Sulphur Amino Acids
Richness in animal protein answers the high requirements to restore skin integrity with proper skin healing and hair regrowth.

DERMA Plus Complex
Concentration and balance in omega-6 and omega-3 (by fish and sunflower oils, borage seeds), plus synergistic co-factors vitamins A and E, help improve clinical signs of dermatosis and dermatitis (efficacy proven by Virbac)(1)

High Level of Essential Fatty Acids*
High supplementation with both omega-6 and omega-3
helps decrease inflammatory processes, and repair skin
and coat.

Supports Skin Barrier Effect
Richness in animal protein and essential fatty acids help reinforce natural skin defences, key factor in management of dermatosis and dermatitis in the long term.

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS & CHARACTERISTICS

Modulates Inflammation
Balanced 6:3 ratio helps reduce clinical signs related to inflammation (redness, itching).

High Digestibility and Digestive Tolerance
Addition of clay, prebiotics, probiotics, fibres helps maintain a healthy digestive tract to optimise the absorption of all the essential nutrients for skin and coat.

Withdrawal of major allergens
The diet is made without beef, gluten, maize, wheat, rice, soya, egg, fish, dairy products.

Immune Support
High protein content and added vitamin E help maintain a healthy immune system.

Suitable for all Life Stages
The amounts of all essential nutrients fit the daily requirement of cats at all ages or physiological status (kittens, gestating or lactating queens, and senior cats).

Management of primary condition

SKIN/COAT DISEASE Management

Modulates inflammatory cascade:

  • Increased omega-3 (1.1%), especially EPA+DHA (0.5%)
  • Increased omega-6 GLA (0.03%)
  • Balanced omega 6:3 ratio: (LA+GLA)/(EPA+DHA)= 5:1
  • Essential fatty acids co-factors: vitamins A (13560 IU/kg) and E (570 mg/kg)
  • The association helps modulate signs related to inflammatory processes: redness, itching.
  • Supports skin integrity:
  • High protein content (34%), especially of animal origin (88%) and the richness in sulphur amino acids (methionine + cystine 1.3%) help regulate keratinisation and achieve epidermal integrity.
  • Increased LA+GLA (2.7%) helps correct epidermal lipid defects and scale  production.
  • Essential fatty acids co-factor: Vitamin A (13560 IU/kg) also contributes to the preservation of skin integrity by regulating keratogenesis.

Improves coat condition:

  • Stimulates Hair regrowth: The high dietary protein content (34%), mainly of animal origin (88%), and the richness in sulphur amino acids (methionine + cystine 1.3%) are the structural basis for proper hair regrowth.
  • Stimulates Hair recoloring: The high dietary protein content (34%), of animal origin (88%), and the richness in aromatic amino acids (phenylalanine + tyrosine 2.1%) contribute to proper hair recoloring.
  • Improves oily skin and promotes shiny coat:
  •  High omega-6 (3.0%), high LA (2.7%), key precursor of lipid cement in the stratum cormeum and the in the superficial lipid film, and high vitamin A as essential fatty acids co-factor, in order to regulate sebaceous secretion for a shiny coat.

Supports skin barrier effect:

  • Increased omega-6 (3.0%), especially LA (2.7%)
  • Balanced omega 6:3 ratio: (LA+GLA)/(EPA+DHA)= 5:1
  • They help restore normal composition and function of the epidermal lipid barrier. They help control transepidermal water loss. Skin barrier help protect from external agressions and help reduce percutaneous exposure to allergens.

Restoration of body condition

  • Lean mass preservation: The high protein content (34%) helps maintain the lean mass.

  • Fat mass limitation: The low carbohydrate content (26.5%) and added L-carnitine (330 mg/kg) as fat burner, help limit the deposit of fatty tissue.

Additional health benefits

Withdrawal of major allergens:

The diet is made without beef, gluten, maize, wheat, soya, egg, dairy products.

Immune support:

The high protein content (34%), with especially the richness in glutamine (4.2%), arginine (2.2%) and sulphur amino acids (methionine + cystine: 1.3%), and added vitamin E (570 mg/kg) help to maintain a healthy immune system.

High Digestive tolerance:

The addition of Sepiolite, Lactobacilli, lignocellulose, FOS, and psyllium helps maintain a healthy digestive tract (mucosa, microbiota, transit).

Urinary health:

The high level of dietary protein (34%), mainly of animal origin (88%), stimulates water intake, increases the urine volume and helps stabilize the urinary pH.

Healthy renal function:

The high content of protein (34%), of high quality (in vivo apparent protein digestibility coefficient: 81%), contributes to increased water turn over.

Low glycemic index:

The HP-LC formulation (protein 34%, carbohydrate 26.5%) and the low amount of starch (20%) and total sugars (1.2%) help limit the impact of the meal on post prandial blood glucose concentration.
